Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has announced a comprehensive reshuffle of his cabinet, resulting in the appointment of technocrats to key ministerial positions.
The reshuffle exercise was seen by Truth Live News in a state statement signed by Secretary to the Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq.
Among the prominent appointments, Mr. Okuofu Osilama has been named as the new Commissioner for the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
The Ministry of Digital Economy will now be led by Mr. Ifaluyi-isibor, a technology enthusiast with a history of spearheading digital initiatives.
Mrs. Adaze Aguele-Kalu has been appointed as the Commissioner for the Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry of Youth and Humanitarian Affairs will now be under the leadership of Mr. Zubairu Dada Abubakar, who brings a wealth of experience in youth empowerment and social development.
As part of the reshuffle, Mr. Asi Suraja Jibril will assume the role of Commissioner for the Ministry of Water Resources.
Other notable appointments include Mrs. Eki Abieyuwa Oyemwense as Commissioner for the Ministry of Business, Trade Cooperatives, Mr. Stanley Osaruyi Ehiarimwian as Commissioner for the Ministry of Health, and Mrs. Edith Ilamosi Sede as the head of the Directorate of Government House and Protocols.
The newly appointed commissioners and heads of ministries are set to assume their roles with immediate effect, embarking on their respective mandates to drive growth, innovation, and improved governance across Edo State. The reshuffle marks a significant step towards achieving the government’s vision for a more prosperous and inclusive state.
