Former Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Godwin Obaseki, has called on Nigerians to use this year’s Good Friday as a moment for deep reflection on the values of love, compassion, and sacrifice, as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

In a message, “Obaseki highlighted the importance of remaining steadfast in the face of national challenges.

He noted that difficult times are part of the journey toward personal and collective progress and that such moments test the convictions and beliefs of individuals and societies.

“A core aspect of our journey toward a better and more prosperous future, both as individuals and a nation, is the reality of challenging times that test our foundational beliefs and convictions,” he said.

Emphasizing unity and democratic ideals, the former governor urged Nigerians to put aside personal interests for the collective good of the nation.

He encouraged Nigerians to be their brother’s keeper, extend love to the less privileged, and work toward building a peaceful and progressive society.

“As we observe Good Friday, I urge everyone to seek the face of God, be their brother’s keeper, extend love to neighbours and the less privileged, and work towards a peaceful and progressive nation,” he stated.
