A four-storey building has collapsed in the Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos, with several people feared trapped and some possibly dead.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Saturday, causing panic among residents. The building, which was still under construction, reportedly housed the popular Equal Right Restaurant on the ground floor.
Eyewitness Femi Saheed told reporters that the collapse happened suddenly, with loud crashing sounds heard across the area. “People were inside when it went down. It was terrifying,” he said.
Security personnel and first responders have arrived at the scene.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) is yet to provide information about the incident at the time of filing this report.
