Bode George, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has denounced the public fight between Samuel Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye over the position of National Secretary, calling it a “public disgrace” and “show of shame.”

George attributed the crisis to the party’s failure to address issues promptly, allowing them to escalate into larger problems.

He established the need for the PDP National body to establish a committee to resolve the crisis and prevent further damage to the party’s image.

Recall that the dispute between Anyanwu and Ude-Okoye began when Anyanwu left to contest the Imo State governorship election and lost.

The party, during his absence, endorsed Ude-Okoye as his replacement.

However, upon Anyanwu’s return, he disagreed with the decision and took legal action.

George expressed his disappointment and shame over the public nature of the conflict, stating that it reflects poorly on the party.

He proposed that the party set up a committee to conduct an in-depth analysis of the crisis and resolve the issue once and for all.

George’s comments come after he declined to serve on the party’s disciplinary committee, stating that it was not what the party needed at the time to reconcile its members.
