The PDP Edo state has released the Guidelines for Aspirants and Delegates for the Edo PDP Primary Election on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
The statement made available to Truth Live News stipulated the procedure for the entire process for safety and efficiency. They are as follows
⁃ Delegates to report at Edo Hotel Marque, GRA, Benin City for accreditation starting at 8am sharp.
⁃ Upon accreditation, each delegate will receive security access cards.
⁃ Delegates will be transported to the primary venue in designated buses.
⁃ Only designated buses carrying accredited delegates will be allowed entry to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium premises.
⁃ Private vehicles will not be permitted within the venue.
⁃ Vehicles transporting governorship aspirants must drop them and their guests at the gate before departing.
⁃ Delegates will be seated in the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium according to their respective local governments.
⁃ Governorship aspirants are required to collect two security tags from the Edo PDP Secretariat, allowing admission for one guest each.
⁃ Accreditation for journalists and Civil Society Organizations will also take place at the Marque.
⁃ Only accredited press personnel and media organizations will be granted access to the venue.
⁃ Attendance at the venue is restricted to delegates, invited guests, and aspirants only.
⁃ All attendees must be seated at the primary venue by 11am punctually.
He advised that security agencies are on alert to ensure strict compliance with these guidelines.
