A petroleum tanker carrying 45,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) caught fire in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Sunday.
According to eyewitnesses, the tanker lost control, veered into a bush, and immediately caught fire.
The incident occurred at Onipe Village, near Idi Ayunre, along the Abeokuta-Ibadan Road.
The General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Service, Mr. Yemi Akinyinka, confirmed the incident, stating that no casualties were recorded.
Akinyinka explained that the fire incident was reported at 08:05 hours on Sunday, and fire personnel swiftly deployed to the scene contained the fire using a foam chemical compound.
