Illegal wares and temporary shelters belonging to street traders on Ligali Ayorinde and Akin Adesola streets in Victoria Island were on Tuesday taken down by officials of the Lagos State Task Force.
Disclosing this via his X handle, the Lagos State Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, wrote: “As directed, the stretch of Ligali Ayorinde and Akin Adesola in Victoria Island was cleared of environmental infractions at midnight today.
“18 suspects were arrested, illegal wares removed, and temporary shelters were destroyed.”
