Police Rescue One Of Kidnap Victims In Ilorin

Police in Ilorin, city capital of North Central State, Kwara, in Nigeria says it has rescued a victim out of the two recently kidnapped in Oko Olowo, a suburb northwest of the capital on Wednesday.

 

Oko Olowo falls within the kidnap axis of Kwara and nearby Oyo State, South West Nigeria and has been giving the police nightmares.

Tunde Buhari, chairman of the Oluwalose community in Okolowo, Ilorin, the rescued victim was handed over to his people after the police rescued him.

 

Briefing the public on the development, Ajayi Okasanmi, spokesman of the police, said that the fource finds it necessary to update the public on its activities.

 

“Men of the command in conjunction with other security stakeholder rescued one of the two kidnapped victims.

 

 

“We feel that the information is necessary to calm the nerves of the families and friends of the victims and to also assure that the police in the command have the capacity to get the remaining victim rescued unharmed.

 

“The victim has been handed over to the family for a comprehensive medical examination,” he said.
