Governor Chukwuma Soludo has officially taken the oath of office for a second term as the Governor of Anambra State, marking the beginning of another four-year administration.
The swearing-in ceremony on the 17th of March, 2026 took place at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka at about 10 a.m., with top government officials, dignitaries, and residents in attendance.
The event followed a series of pre-inauguration activities, including an interdenominational service held on March 15, while a thanksgiving mass is scheduled for later in the week.
Soludo, who was re-elected in the November 2025 governorship election under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), secured a decisive victory, reinforcing his political dominance in the state.
With the oath administered, Soludo is expected to deliver an inaugural address outlining his administration’s priorities for the next four years.
