A major political shift may be underway in Edo State as veteran media strategist and businessman, Mr Sam John, has thrown his full weight behind the newly elected Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Hon. Tony Alile, describing his emergence as the beginning of a long awaited political rebirth.
In a strongly worded statement personally signed and sent to Truth Live News on Sunday, the influential media figure said Alile’s election represents a strategic turning point for opposition politics in Edo State, stressing that the time has come to dismantle what he called the entrenched culture of political mediocrity.
Sam John did not hold back in his endorsement, portraying Hon. Alile as a tested political force with the courage, vision and resilience required to reposition the ADC into a formidable platform capable of challenging the status quo.

Hon. Tony Alile, a seasoned politician and former Senior Adviser in the administration of Senator Oserheimen Osunbor, was elected on Saturday as Edo State Chairman of the ADC during a congress supervised by former Governor, Chief Odigie Oyegun.
