As the people of Edo State prepare to cast their votes tomorrow, President Bola Tinubu has called on governorship candidates, political parties, and their supporters to respect the democratic process and honor the voters’ choices.

He expressed confidence in the electorate’s ability to make informed choices regarding their future leaders.

In a statement by the Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu highlighted the importance of civility, tolerance, and adherence to electoral rules, stressing that democracy thrives on these principles.

He praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its commitment to conducting free and fair elections, urging all stakeholders to collaborate for a peaceful electoral process.

The President commended the candidates and parties for focusing their campaigns on key issues affecting the people, including economic growth and improving livelihoods. He called on citizens to maintain peace and respect during the voting process, encouraging them to resolve disputes through official channels.

Furthermore, Tinubu expressed strong confidence in the professionalism of security agencies and INEC officials, urging them to remain impartial and protect the integrity of the electoral process.
