Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has said that Arsenal should adopt an aggressive approach against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinal second leg.

Ferdinand said that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should allow his team to go toe-to-toe with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, rather than playing defensively.

According to Ferdinand, Arsenal’s 3-0 lead from the first leg gives them an advantage, and Real Madrid would need to score four goals to win the tie.

Ferdinand maintained that Arsenal should take the game to Real Madrid, putting pressure on them to score multiple goals.

The match is set to kick off at 8 pm Nigerian time on Wednesday, and Arsenal fans will be hoping to see their team progress to the semifinals.

Ferdinand’s advice comes after Arsenal’s convincing 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the first leg, with Declan Rice scoring a brace and Mikel Merino adding another goal.

The former England international affirmed that Arsenal’s approach in the second leg will be a key factor in determining the outcome of the tie.
