Seven-storey Building Collapses In Lagos

A seven-storey building located at the Banana Island, Ikoyi area of Lagos State has reportedly collapsed.

It was gathered that the building which is still under construction collapsed at about 3pm on Wednesday.

The building was said to have caved in when some of the construction workers on site had closed for the day.

However some workers were reportedly injured as a result of the collapse.

Spokesperson of the Lagos Fire Service and Rescue Service, Amodu Shakiri, confirmed the incident.

Shakiri said, “We got a call around 3:58 pm. We are currently trying to ascertain the claim that no one was under the rubble.”
