Three notorious kidnappers have been apprehended in Ogoli-Ugboju, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, marking a significant breakthrough in the efforts to curb kidnapping in the region.
The suspects, identified as Ibrahim Salleh, Ashimu, and Abuh Umaru, were arrested on Sunday, April 6, 2025, during a coordinated security operation.
They are part of a five-man kidnapping gang that has been terrorizing Otukpo and its surrounding communities, according to Hon. Maxwell Ogiri, Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Area.
The security operatives involved in the arrest are commended by Hon. Ogiri, who assured the public that investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining gang members and their local collaborators.
Efforts are still underway to capture the remaining accomplices and any local collaborators, ensuring justice is served and the community is protected.
