TikTok sensation, Odesanmi Opeyemi, popularly known as Oloba Salo, has been hospitalized after being shot in Lekki, Lagos, by an unknown gunman.
The incident occurred late Thursday when the content creator was reportedly shot in the leg and quickly rushed to the hospital. According to eyewitnesses, Oloba Salo was ambushed by some unknown gunmen while driving his white luxury car in Lekki.
The assailants, who rode a motorcycle, shot Salo and sped away. In the chaos that followed, bystanders stole his gold chain. A video captured by one of Salo’s friends shows him in a hospital bed, surrounded by doctors trying to save his life.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and thanked Evercare Hospital, Lekki, for promptly accepting and commencing medical treatment of the victim. Hundeyin also praised the hospital for notifying the police.
The incident has sparked concerns about safety and security in Lagos, with many calling for a thorough investigation and swift justice for the perpetrators. Friends, fans, and colleagues are sending well-wishes for Oloba Salo’s speedy recovery.
