President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, as the Chairperson of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

The announcement was made on Friday through a statement by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

Ganduje, who currently serves as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), will now oversee FAAN’s operations as part of his new role.

In a separate appointment, President Tinubu named Nasiru Gawuna, a former Deputy Governor of Kano State, as Chairman of the Board of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.

Gawuna, who was the APC’s gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 election, previously served as Chairman of the Governing Council at Bayero University, Kano.

These appointments come as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen key institutions in the country.
