Daniel Bwala, a prominent figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has predicted an extended presidential tenure of eight years for President Bola Tinubu in the absence of a formidable opposition coalition before the 2027 general elections.
Speaking candidly during an exclusive interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Bwala emphatically asserted, “Without a unified coalition among political parties, Tinubu’s presidency for the next eight years is almost certain.”
He continued, highlighting the inevitability of a robust political alliance, stating, “I am aware that a formidable coalition of political parties will emerge. This coalition will assimilate factions causing discord within various political entities.”
In the course of the interview, Bwala levied allegations against Tinubu, attributing the ongoing crises in opposition parties, specifically citing instances within the Labour Party and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), to his influence.
Regarding the political upheaval in Rivers State, Bwala made a bold prediction about Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s potential removal from office, insinuating the governor had unwittingly walked into a premeditated trap.
While refraining from explicitly identifying the orchestrator behind Fubara’s predicament, Bwala urged for communal prayers for the governor’s welfare.
Offering insight into the situation, Bwala cryptically mentioned, “The governor is oblivious to the unfolding events. Time will unveil the reality.”
He concluded by commenting on Fubara’s chosen path, remarking, “If this is the path he willingly treads, we can only extend our best wishes.”
