Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that his country is ready to hold talks with Russia in any format once a ceasefire deal is in place and fighting has stopped.

A Ukrainian delegation will meet officials from Western countries in London to discuss a full or partial ceasefire.

Zelenskyy emphasized that numerous complex issues, such as territory, security guarantees, and Ukraine’s NATO membership, would require careful consideration.

Ukraine will not recognize Moscow’s control over Crimea as part of any deal, citing constitutional constraints.

Zelenskyy expressed willingness to partner with the US to restore the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, occupied by Russia.

The London talks will bring together officials from the US, UK, France, Germany, and Ukraine, following US-led diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will not attend the talks, but Washington’s Ukraine envoy General Keith Kellogg will be present.

Zelenskyy is open to meeting US President Donald Trump at the late Pope Francis’s funeral.
