Though Rev Uma Ukpai has passed on, more encomiums have kept on pouring in from various quarters and groups.

Recall that, Dr. Ukpai, died at the age of 80 years and was one of the founders of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).

One of the groups, the Obu Ohafia, a socio-economic development association in Ohafia, Abia State, has said that the late Rev Uma Ukpai was phenomenal in his evangelical calling.

While mourning the passing of one of the greatest evangelists, the President General of the group, Chief Nnanna Ajike, said that with the demise of Dr. Uma Ukpai, the global Christian community has lost a touch bearer.

In a statement, Chief Ajike said that: “Through his evangelical movement, Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, God has used the anointed crusader of the faith to bring Christian revival in many African countries and beyond.

“In Ohafia, Abia State, where he was born, his end of the year programme, Greater Ohafia for Christ Crusade, which rotates among the 26 villages, has impacted and ignited the fire of spiritual fervor in the entire community.”
