Tragedy has hit the residents of Erediauwa street, off Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State as four children fell into a stagnant mud water in the community.
Two of the four children were said to have died in the stagnant mud water while two others were resuscitated at a nearby hospital they were rushed to for medical attention.
It was learnt that the four children had gone to play in the area where the state government designated as flood water collection point.
Witnesses said the children slipped into the flood water while they were playing.
Edo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Eno Ikoedem, said rescue team were quickly dispatch to the place when information about the incident was received, adding that two of the children died while two others taken to the hospital.
