Update: Four-Days-Old Baby Survives As Seven Family Members Die Mysteriously In Anambra

The four days old baby a young businessman and six members of his family members who died night after the moved into their newly built mansion has been confirmed to have survived and in stable condition.

Truth Live News had reported that the man who is a trader at the Onitsha Bridge Head market, his wife, two kids, mother in-law and apprentice mysteriously died Wednesday night after they relocated to their house.

There were speculations by many who claimed that their was controversies over the land on which the house was built with some occultic presence.

In the latest development however, the police confirmed that the victims died of generator fume.

It was gathered that the man’s wife just delivered a baby and the house was part of his surprise gift to her.

 

Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Izunna Okonkwo, manager of St. Charles Borromeo Hospital in Onitsha were the victims were rushed disclosed that only their four days old baby survived and was in stable condition while others were confirmed dead on arrival.

A source had told Punch that the entire family members were in the mansion celebrating when suddenly there was power outage which made the family to put on the generator positioned at the veranda close to the bedroom.

“The celebration continued into the night with the generator still on.”

Their deaths was discovered by a family friend who was invited to be part of the celebration but could not make it till the next morning when he visited and found the entire doors locked but their generator was still on before he alerted neighbours.

Reacting to the incident, the Anambra state police public relations officer, Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident saaid the police is still carrying out investigation to unravel the cause of their death.
