Popular businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna popularly known as IVD has been arrested by Lagos Police Command, over the death of his wife, Abimbola Ogbonna.
Recall that Bimbo died on Saturday October 15, at the hospital where she was being treated from fire burns that she sustained from a fire outbreak which she allegedly started in her home on October 12, in Lagos.
According to members of Bimbo’s family, IVD pushed her into the fire, watched her burn and even did a video of her burning in the fire.
This incident has sparked many reactions on social media. Users complained about the toxicity between the couple and wondered why their families, most especially Bimbo’s, will allow such toxic marriage, which involved serious history of domestic violence, to still linger on.
Contrary to claims by the deceased family that IVD is on the run, the spokesperson of the Lagos Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a tweet this evening, revealed that IVD has been arrested and has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID, Yaba.
