In a startling revelation, Prince Emmanuel Odigie, a prominent figure within the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Edo Central Senatorial District, has accused the former national chairman of the party and current Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, of orchestrating a strategic plan to advance his ambition of becoming the Senate President in 2027.
The allegations stem from Oshiomhole’s alleged leveraging of Dennis Idahosa, a member of the House of Representatives and recently declared governorship candidate of the APC for the upcoming Edo State Governorship election.
Odigie made these assertions during an exclusive interview with Arise TV on Wednesday, and his claims were subsequently reported by Truth Live News.
According to Odigie, Oshiomhole has been actively working behind the scenes to influence and manipulate the political trajectory of Dennis Idahosa, who recently secured the APC’s gubernatorial ticket for the Edo State Governorship election. Odigie contends that Idahosa’s candidacy is being strategically used by Oshiomhole to consolidate power and position himself for the role of Senate President in the upcoming 2027 legislative session.
The APC chieftain expressed concerns about the potential ramifications of such alleged machinations, emphasizing the need for transparency and fairness within the party. Odigie suggested that Oshiomhole’s involvement in the selection of candidates, particularly in leveraging Idahosa’s gubernatorial bid, raises questions about the democratic principles and internal processes of the APC.
