A member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) inspection team, Mr. Goodluck Osaretin, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of deliberately obstructing the PDP’s legal right to inspect the BVAS and other electoral materials used in the September 21 governorship election.
Speaking exclusively to Truth Live News on Thursday, Osaretin expressed frustration, accusing the APC, led by its state chairman, Jarrett Tenebe, of filing baseless petitions to delay the inspection process ordered by the court.
“We are here this morning again,” Osaretin said. “Yesterday, they postponed the inspection because the APC claimed they were not with their register. Today, they showed up with their register, but then submitted another petition to the Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) at the INEC headquarters in Benin City, alleging the process has been compromised.”
