Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State arrived in Edo State today to participate in the BRACED Commission Summit, a significant regional gathering aimed at fostering cooperation and development among the states of Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo, and Delta.
The summit, hosted by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, has brought together key leaders to deliberate on strategies for addressing common challenges and advancing shared interests in the BRACED region.
Upon his arrival at the airport, Governor Fubara was warmly welcomed by a delegation led by Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha, Edo State Chief of Staff. Also present to receive the Rivers State Governor was Hon. J. Osilama Okuofu, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in Edo State.
The BRACED Commission, established to enhance socio-economic integration and cooperation among member states, covers a range of areas including infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, and economic growth.
As the summit unfolds, expectations are high for meaningful deliberations that will result in actionable plans for the advancement of the BRACED region and the improvement of the lives of its citizens.
