Former Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Godwin Obaseki, has declared that Nigerians will overcome the current national challenges, as he delivered an Easter message rooted in hope, unity, and renewal.
In his goodwill message to Christians celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Obaseki emphasized the enduring power of faith and resilience in difficult times.
“As we celebrate Easter, let us take time to reflect on the many lessons of the season, particularly the power of hope in the bleakest of times and the joy of renewal,” he stated.
Highlighting the strength of Nigerians in the face of adversity, Obaseki added: “Despite the current challenges we face, we must remain resolute and hopeful. The present state of the nation cannot be an exception—we shall overcome.”
He called on citizens to allow the Easter spirit to inspire love, unity, and patriotism, stressing the need for a collective push toward national progress.
“May this Easter rekindle our faith, strengthen our resolve, and inspire us to foster love, unity, and patriotism, as we strive for a better state, nation, and world,” he said.
Obaseki, who served as Governor of Edo State from 2016 to 2024, concluded with warm wishes for a joyful Easter celebration.
