Former UFC Champion, Kamaru Usman, has admitted that he messed up in the early hours of Sunday, losing to Leon Edwards.
The combat sports former champion made the admission on his verified Twitter handle but promised to bounce back.
Here is how he put it:
“Champs f$ck up sometimes… but we bounce back and come with vengeance,” said, signing off with his alias, the Nigerian Nightmar “#NGHTMR”.
Edwards became Britain’s second ever UFC champion after he defeated Usman at the UFC 278 main event at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, USA on Sunday morning.
Seven years ago, Usman outpointed Edwards as part of what became a 19-fight win streak for the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’, earning him the title of UFC’s pound-for-pound king.
