The Edo State government, has lauded the president of the Edo National Association Worldwide (ENAW), Engr. Bose Ogbeifun-Oviasu for facilitating the setting up of ENAW Dialysis and Diagnostic Center in the state.

The state government through the Commissioner of Health, Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole, gave the commendation during the official commissioning of the facilities in the state.

He said with the setting up of the centre in the state, it will help to address the health needs of residents in the state.

“I am deeply honoured to be here today for the commissioning of this Dialysis and Diagnostic Centre, established through the selfless efforts of the Edo National Association Worldwide.

“This is not just the opening of a facility; it is the unveiling of hope, compassion, and responsible citizenship in action.

“Let me begin by sincerely commending the leadership and members of Edo National Association Worldwide—both at home and in the diaspora—for this remarkable achievement. What you have done here today is a powerful reminder that distance does not diminish responsibility, and that love for one’s homeland knows no borders.

“Dialysis services are among the most critical—and often most expensive—life-saving interventions in modern medicine.

“For many families, access to dialysis determines whether a loved one lives or dies. By bringing this service closer to the people, you have reduced suffering, restored dignity, and given many families a renewed chance at life.

“Equally important is the diagnostic centre being commissioned today. In healthcare, diagnosis is the gateway to effective treatment. When we diagnose early, we treat better, we spend less, and we save more lives.

“This centre therefore stands as a strong pillar in preventive and curative healthcare delivery in Edo State”, Dr. Oshiomhole said.

Dr. Oshiomhole said that the setting up of the facilities in the state align with the governor’s line of thoughts of providing quality healthcare services to the people.

“This initiative aligns perfectly with the health vision of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, whose administration places strong emphasis on strengthening healthcare infrastructure, expanding access, and encouraging meaningful public-private and diaspora partnerships.

“As a government, we recognise that sustainable healthcare cannot be achieved by government alone. It requires collaboration—exactly what we are witnessing here today.

“On behalf of the Edo State Ministry of Health, I assure you of our support in ensuring that this centre operates according to best practices, high professional standards, and strict regulatory guidelines. Our goal is simple: safe, affordable, and quality healthcare for every Edo citizen”, Dr. Oshiomhole said.

On the part of the president of ENAW, Engr. Bose Ogbeifun-Oviasu, described the unveiling of the facilities as the restoration of hope to the people of the state and for every healthcare seeker just as she gave the rationale behind setting up of the centre.

“Today, we are not merely opening a building; we are opening doors to hope, healing, and human dignity. We dedicate this dialysis center — a beacon of compassion, resilience, and service — to the people who need it most.

“This project holds deep personal significance for me. Several years ago, in 2004, my family faced a challenging journey when my beloved sister battled kidney failure. I witnessed firsthand the pain, exhaustion, and endless travelling required for treatment. More importantly, I observed her courage, and it became clear to me that many others were fighting the same silent battle, often without the means or access to care.

“It was during those long, uncertain days that a vision took root in my heart — a vision that no one should have to suffer alone or lose hope simply because they cannot afford or access lifesaving dialysis treatment. That vision has guided the ENAW organization and myself to where we stand today.

“As we officially commission this ENAW dialysis and diagnostic center today, we celebrate not only a milestone but a movement — one built on compassion, collaboration, and community spirit”, Engr. Ogbeifun-Oviasu said.
