Nollywood iconic actor Yul Edochie and son to Veteran actor, Pete Edochie preaches love amongst Nigerians and talks against tribalism, using Lagos state as case study.
The controversial actor who was in the news in most part of year 2022 for taking a new wife, Judy Austin his colleague, against the will of his first wife of 16years, May Edochie, said he has peacefully lived for over a decade in Lagos, a South Western state, though he is from South East.
Yul also faulted the wide spread notion that Lagos is a no man’s land and asserted that Lagos belongs to people who have the state as their origin. He said Nigerians must respect the indigenes of any state they reside in, so as to promote love and unity.
Yul said; “I’ve lived in Lagos since 2012. Built my house in Lagos. Not once have I experienced any form of rejection from the Yorubas… Lagos is a Yoruba state in Yoruba land… Anambra is an Igbo land.”
