Popular nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has stirred reactions on social media after a video showed her conducting a spiritual deliverance for a schoolgirl during an evangelism outreach.
The incident occurred on Friday, March 6, 2026, when the actress and members of her outreach team visited a public secondary school for a faith-based programme.
According to Dikeh, the moment happened shortly after the evangelism session had ended and she was preparing to leave the school premises. She explained that she suddenly sensed what she described as a “spirit of death” around the environment, prompting her and her team to begin praying.
While the prayers were ongoing, a young girl reportedly approached the actress asking for help. The student allegedly told her she had been experiencing unusual occurrences, including repeatedly seeing bats around her.
In a video that later circulated widely online, Dikeh was seen praying intensely for the girl while other students and members of her outreach team looked on.
Recounting the incident, the actress said the prayer session led to what she described as a spiritual breakthrough.
“The spirit of death was confronted, the demonic attack was broken, and God’s power brought deliverance,” she said.
Dikeh also revealed that the student was among those who had earlier responded to an altar call during the evangelism programme, adding that several students gave their lives to Christ during the outreach.
The actress noted that her team would continue to follow up with the girl to ensure her wellbeing and spiritual growth.
