Air Peace, Nigeria’s national airline, has issued a warning to the public about a fake website that is deceiving travelers.
In a statement released by the management on Tuesday, the airline explained that the creators of the fake website used Air Peace’s branding to make it look like the official booking platform of the company.
“We have been made aware of a specific website ‘www.flyairpeace.uk’ pretending to be an official Air Peace website and scamming unsuspecting individuals,” Air Peace stated.
“The people behind this fake website have used our branding to create the illusion that it is our official booking platform. We want to clarify that this website is not affiliated with Air Peace in any way.
“The only official website of Air Peace is ‘www.flyairpeace.com.'”
Air Peace urged the public to disregard the fake website, emphasizing that it is pretending to be the airline and cheating travelers.
On March 30, the airline launched its Lagos-London flight service.
This London route follows the announcement by the Nigerian flag carrier a month earlier that it would start direct flights from Lagos to Gatwick Airport in London.
