The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Jarrett Tenebe, has publicly expressed dissatisfaction over what he described as the poor treatment of Edo delegates during the party’s National Convention held in Abuja.
Speaking with visible frustration, Tenebe revealed that despite the state chapter’s strong political commitmentparticularly its promise to deliver 3.5 million votes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu—delegates from Edo were allegedly subjected to unfavorable conditions throughout the event.
“After promising Tinubu 3.5 million votes, Edo delegates were treated badly at the convention. Since yesterday, I’ve been complaining about where they kept us,” Tenebe lamented.
The remarks have sparked conversations within party circles, raising concerns about internal coordination and the welfare of delegates at high-profile political gatherings organized by the All Progressives Congress.
Sources at the convention hinted that logistical challenges, including accommodation and welfare arrangements, may have contributed to the dissatisfaction among some state delegations. However, party officials are yet to issue an official response addressing the concerns raised by the Edo chairman.
