In a historic election, the Labour Party, early on Friday secured a decisive majority in the House of Commons, winning 410 seats and surpassing the 326 required for a working majority.

According to BBC news, Truthlive news learnt that Conservative Party trailed significantly with 144 seats.

Addressing the jubilant crowd in London, Labour leader Keir Starmer, acknowledged the significant responsibility that comes with this mandate and pledged to usher in a new era of “national renewal,” vowing to rebuild and transform the country.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak conceded defeat, extending congratulations to Starmer on his victory.

As the Prime Minister-elect, Starmer committed to initiating a period of “national renewal” for the UK. In his victory speech, he emphasized the need for change and the rebuilding of the country. “Today we start the next chapter — begin the work of change, the mission of national renewal and start to rebuild our country,” Starmer declared.
