Isak Resumes Liverpool Training After Injury Setback

Liverpool striker Alexander Isak has returned to full team training this week after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, boosting his chances of featuring in the club’s upcoming key fixtures.

The 26 year old has been out of action since December following a fractured fibula and ankle injury. His return marks a major step forward in his recovery process.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Thursday via X, stating, “Alexander Isak returns in team training with the Liverpool squad this week after a long injury. He’s expected to be called up this weekend and then against PSG.”

Isak has been steadily building fitness, and his reintegration into group sessions under manager Arne Slot signals renewed optimism for his availability.

While he could make the squad for Liverpool’s FA Cup clash against Manchester City this weekend, the club is expected to manage his return carefully, with a likely place on the bench rather than the starting lineup.

However, the forward is tipped to be available for Liverpool’s crucial UEFA Champions League encounter against PSG, where he may feature as a substitute as he continues to regain match fitness.
