The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the final list of successful candidates for the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II), with the next phase of the process the upload of medical fitness certificates scheduled to commence on Wednesday.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Service’s National Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, urged successful applicants to verify their selection by visiting the official NCS website or checking designated national newspapers.
Maiwada disclosed that shortlisted candidates would also receive notifications via their registered email addresses and SMS, containing instructions on how to access the recruitment portal.
Candidates are required to log in to update.customs.gov.ng using either their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness issued by a government-recognised hospital.
According to the statement, the medical certificate upload portal will be activated on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and successful candidates will have one week from the activation date to complete the mandatory upload.
The NCS advised applicants to comply within the stipulated timeframe, warning that failure to do so could affect their progression in the recruitment process.
Candidates are also required to update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button, after which a Trainee Identification Number will be issued within one week.
The statement added that details of the next phase of the recruitment exercise, including documentation, physical screening schedules, venues, and other requirements, will be announced through the Nigeria Customs Service’s official communication channels.
The Service cautioned successful candidates to adhere strictly to all guidelines and deadlines, warning that failure to meet any of the stipulated requirements or timelines could lead to immediate disqualification and the forfeiture of their provisional offers of appointment.
On behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board, the Comptroller-General of Customs congratulated the successful candidates on their success in the recruitment process and expressed confidence that they would make meaningful contributions to the Service as they prepare to begin their careers.
