BREAKING: Ita Enang Replaces Fani-Kayode as Nigeria’s Envoy to Germany

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reportedly been replaced by former presidential aide, Ita Enang, as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany.

The development comes weeks after reports emerged that the German government allegedly declined to accept Fani-Kayode’s appointment over concerns linked to his controversial public comments and inflammatory ethnic and religious remarks. The report, first published by Peoples Gazette
, stirred widespread reactions within political and diplomatic circles.

Although the Federal Government is yet to officially clarify Fani-Kayode’s next diplomatic destination, insider reports indicate that Senator Ita Enang, who had earlier been designated as Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Africa, will now proceed to Berlin to assume duties as Nigeria’s chief envoy to Germany in the coming weeks.

Sources familiar with the reshuffle further hinted that Fani-Kayode, popularly known as FFK, may instead be redeployed to South Africa as part of a broader diplomatic realignment by the administration.

Senator Ita Enang, a seasoned politician and former Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters, is expected to bring his extensive experience in governance and legislative affairs to Nigeria’s diplomatic mission in Berlin.

As of the time of filing this report, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not released an official statement regarding the reported redeployment.
