Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has reacted to allegations made by Emmanuel Obasi, the former husband of Judy Austin, who claimed he has been stopped from seeing his children.
Edochie responded to the accusations on his social media page on Friday.
“Some of my fans have reached out to me, saying, ‘pls allow him to see his children’.
“I have never stopped anybody from seeing his children.
“In this era of social media, people prefer chasing clout and chasing social media money with my name, rather than doing the right thing.
“Tell him to call his ex-wife, if he wants to see or take his children, let them discuss it.
“He has her number. It has nothing to do with me.”
Truth Live News Media reports that Emmanuel Obasi has repeatedly claimed that he has been unable to see his children with Judy Austin for many years, alleging that they have been kept away from him.
He says he has been cut off completely and does not know their current well-being.
Obasi also alleges that his marriage broke down due to Judy Austin’s involvement with Yul Edochie, claiming the relationship began while he was still married to her.
He has alleged that Yul became involved in the events that led to the breakdown of his marriage.
Obasi has made his grievances public through interviews and social media posts, repeatedly appealing for assistance in locating or gaining access to his children.
Yul Edochie, meanwhile, has occasionally responded to or indirectly dismissed the claims on social media, with no clear resolution or legal conclusion reached between both parties.
More recently, Judy Austin has also countered Obasi’s allegations and threatened legal action, insisting that some of his claims about timelines and access are inaccurate, keeping the dispute ongoing.
