In the lead-up to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Angola, Ademola Lookman has expressed unbending confidence in his team’s readiness for battle.
The highly anticipated match is set to unfold at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan this Friday, where Lookman asserts that the Super Eagles are fully committed to securing a victory against Pedro Goncalves’ formidable squad.
“We’ve invested significant effort to reach this crucial stage of the competition, and our determination remains steadfast to achieve our ultimate goal,” Lookman conveyed to reporters.
“Our aim is to bring home the trophy. While we acknowledge the journey ahead, we firmly believe in the attainability of our objective. Angola is a strong team with quality players, but our strategy remains consistent. We will approach the game with the same intensity and fighting spirit displayed in previous matches. I don’t foresee them halting our momentum,” Lookman noted.
