Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their impressive 1-0 triumph against the Palancas Negras of Angola in the quarterfinal match of the 2024 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
In a statement obtained by Truth Live News, Governor Obaseki commended the superlative performance displayed by the Super Eagles throughout the intense 90 minutes of the match.
He therefore expressed unbending confidence in the team’s capability to clinch the coveted trophy.
The governor stated, “I extend warm congratulations to our beloved Super Eagles for their exceptional and commendable performance against Angola in the quarterfinals of the 2024 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), resulting in a well-deserved 1-0 victory over the Palancas Negras, securing their place in the tournament’s semi-finals.
