The leader of Actor Guid Of Nigerian (AGN) has suspended indefinitely Nollywood Actor, Jerry Williams over excessive use of illicit drugs.
According to a statement released and signed by the National President Of AGN, Mr Emeka Rollas, the association has been monitoring the steps of Actor Jerry Williams since December and decided to suspend him from all movie sets over excessive use of illicit drugs.
The statement further explained that the leadership of AGN suspended Jerry Williams in order to avoid in situation on set to that may cause danger to other actors.
The statement reads: “the Guild has been monitoring his movements in illicit substances since December last year, until it got out of hands like this now, he cannot be allowed to be on set with other actors due to danger.
“He ought to have been suspended before now, but we decided to allow him go through minor treatments, which he has been defaulting overtime. As it stands now, Jerry is now a risk, not just to himself alone but also to other actors who might be acting alongside with him on a movie set.”
