The ruling All Progressive Congess, APC, National Legal Adviser, Ahmed El-Marzuk, has resigned from the party’s National Working Committee, NWC.
Truthlive news learnt from Vanguard that El-Marzuk resigned his appointment on Wednesday, following insistence by some of his colleagues that he could not longer be in office due to some allegations against him.
El-Marzuk is the fourth member of the NWC to resign recently, following the departures of Adamu, Lukman, and Senator Iyiola Omisore.
The current meeting of the APC’s National Executive Committee in Abuja is expected to discuss and name a replacement for El-Marzuk, who resigned recently.
The NEC is responsible for the party’s affairs and is expected to discuss a range of issues at this meeting.
