The chairman media/ publicity and ICT committee of the Edo state Football Association, Kennedy Ugbodaga has commended his fellow board members for the good job done so far with the ongoing Bet9ja Edo FA Cup competition 2024.
The football administrator cum sports journalist was full of praises for his colleagues on his return from Accra, Sunday morning from the just concluded 13th Africa games held in Ghana.
He said this is a new chapter for football in Edo state, the people are yet to see our best, our aim is to make Edo state the hub of football in Nigeria. He appreciated the participating teams of the Bet9ja Edo FA Cup for their corporation and understanding, asking them to keep the support coming for the Fred Newton Erhunmwunse led board of the Edo state Football Association.
“I want to sincerely thank my fellow board members for the good job so far with the FA Cup, this is commendable and we are on the right track, this is a new chapter of football in Edo state, I want to ask football teams across the state, stakeholders of the game to keep supporting the Fred Newton Erhunmwunse led board, our aim is to make the state the hub of football in Nigeria.
“Though I have not been around, I get daily report from our media Team and other online reporters on the Bet9ja Edo FA Cup, am grateful to everyone.
“I am available to work with the dynamic organising committee, the Loc for the remaining matches through to the final slated for March 31st 2024, Ugbodaga posited.
It would be recalled that the young, vibrant Kennedy Ugbodaga, a photo journalist was in Ghana for the just concluded 13th Africa games after his earlier duties at the senior AFCON tournament held in Ivory Coast in January 2024.
The management team member of Rolly Fc of Benin City who was the only sports journalist from Edo state that covered the AFCON tournament for under 20 in Egypt 2023 will now resume duties on Monday the 25th of March 2024 when the semifinals of the Bet9ja Edo FA Cup competition gets underway.
