Arise News Channel’s anchor, Rufai Oseni, has publicly called out Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Edo State governorship candidate, for repeatedly failing to appear on the station’s live programs.
Unlike Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, who has made several appearances on Arise News to outline his vision for Edo State, Okpebholo has consistently avoided facing the public on national television.
Taking to his verified social media handles, Rufai Oseni expressed his eagerness to interview the APC candidate, stating, “I will love to interview the APC candidate in the Edo gubernatorial elections. If he’s ready, he should come on Arise TV. Those that must lead must be ready to answer the questions. Dear Monday, we want you on Monday.”
As the election date approaches, the absence of Okpebholo from such critical media engagements raises questions about his readiness to govern and willingness to be transparent with the electorate.
