In view of the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial primaries slated for Tomorrow, April 14th, some top contenders have started stepping down.

This is coming after the Kogi Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello had earlier scheduled a meeting for all the Aspirants and top Stakeholders of the party in the Government House in Lokoja.

Report reaching Truth Live News that some top contenders for the guber race have stepped down in a consensus agreement as the meeting in still in progress.

Those who have stepped down so far are;

Chief Edward Onoja, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State.

Jibril Ahmed, the Kogi State Accountant General.

Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu, the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor.

According to reports, the former Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government, Usman Ododo is the alleged favorite and the Governor’s ‘anointed’ candidate.

Some of his other appointees and other aspirants are expected to step down soon as the meeting progresses.
