Breaking: Amaechi Hosts Obi in High-Stakes Abuja Parley

Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi on Saturday hosted a high-level strategic meeting at his Abuja residence with key political figures, including former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

The closed-door session, which also brought together Senator Victor Umeh, former Imo State Governor Achike Udenwa, and Chief Victor Oganku, focused on consolidating the opposition coalition under the banner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and charting a path toward a stronger democratic future ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Video footage from the gathering, seen by Truth Live News captures the leaders and their entourages moving through the opulent living room of Amaechi’s residence, featuring striking artwork including a large golden lion mural and framed portraits. The brief clip highlights the informal yet purposeful atmosphere of the engagement.

This latest parley comes on the heels of the recent ADC national convention, during which Obi, Amaechi, and other prominent opposition leaders, including former Sokoto Governor Aminu Tambuwal, held similar strategic discussions at the residence of ADC National Chairman Senator David Mark.

Those meetings emphasized unity, coordination, and preparations for a formidable challenge to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
