The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed it launched precise airstrikes on Iranian military targets early Saturday, following reports of multiple explosions in Tehran.
The IDF stated the strikes are a direct response to what it describes as “relentless attacks” by Iran on Israeli territories since October 7th, targeting Israel from “seven fronts — including direct assaults from Iranian soil.”
“Like every other sovereign country in the world, the State of Israel has the right and the duty to respond,” the IDF declared, emphasizing that both its defensive and offensive units are fully mobilized and prepared for further action.
Tensions have been building across the region since Iran fired a series of missiles at Israel in early October. The escalation came in the wake of the assassination of Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, which ignited further hostilities. For weeks, analysts and citizens alike have anticipated Israel’s next move, with regional stability now appearing more uncertain than ever.
