Moheeba Farida Dankaka, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), faced a grueling five-hour interrogation at the Nigerian Police Force headquarters in Abuja.

This investigation follows allegations of certificate forgery and the presentation of false information, originating from a petition filed in May 2023 by the Youth and Leadership Initiatives.

Truth Live News gathered that the petition accused Dankaka of providing false information to secure her chairmanship position, citing concerns about falsification of certificates, identity, and the presentation of false information on oath.

Responding to the gravity of the accusations, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Garki, Abuja, intervened.

The police, in a letter dated January 8, 2024, and signed by DCP Tahir Usman, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Commissioner of Police (PSFU), FCID, invited Dankaka for questioning. The extensive five-hour session required her to produce original copies of all her certificates by January 17, 2024.

Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, disclaimed Dankaka’s presented certificate, stating, “I wish to inform you that the available records in the University revealed that the photocopy of the certificate attached to your letter didn’t emanate from this University.”

Efforts to obtain a response from FCC Chairman Moheeba Farida Dankaka have proven futile, with calls and messages remaining unanswered. The lack of communication adds an air of mystery to the unfolding situation.

This development casts doubt on the authenticity of Dankaka’s credentials and brings heightened scrutiny to the leadership of the Federal Character Commission.
