Enugu State Police Commissioner, Abubakar Lawal has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to conduct a discreet investigation to establish the cause of the fire outbreak at Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area’s INEC Office.
Recall that Truthlive.net gave report in the early hours of the day about the fire outbreak. Therefore, a statement signed by the state police spokes person, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, was made available in order to update the early morning fire incident at the INEC office, situated at Ogrute in the Enugu-Ezike community of the LGA.
The command observed that the fire started from the back of the building but was put out by the rapid response of Police Operatives and members of the Nsukka fire service.
Lawal the commissioner, assured the public of unraveling the cause of the incident and take necessary steps while while pleading with the residents to support the command with credible information to be able to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The police furthered that the affected area has been prevented from people to enter into inorder to preserve for further investigative actions.
