Fresh Arrests in Vegetable Market Abduction As Security Agencies Tighten Net

Operatives of the Edo State Police command have arrested two additional suspects linked to the abduction of a woman at the Vegetable Market, off Airport Road Benin City on June 14.
The suspects were apprehended in Delta State following an intensive manhunt by security agencies.
Their arrest comes after the earlier capture of 32-year-old Marvelous Isaac, who reportedly alleged the involvement of some community security personnel in supplying weapons used for the operation.
During the ongoing crackdown, another suspected gang member identified as Precious was reportedly killed in a gun duel with security operatives.
Authorities also recovered several items connected to the criminal operation, including a Lexus RX 350 SUV, firearms, ammunition, a motorcycle, and N2.25 million in cash.
Investigations are ongoing as security agencies work to apprehend other members of the kidnapping syndicate and uncover the full extent of the network behind the abduction.
