The operation, part of the ongoing Operation KO S’AYE III, was conducted at about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, based on credible intelligence. A joint team of operatives targeted black spots such as Boolar and Super Ile-Epo to flush out hoodlums and other criminal elements.

According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, other exhibits recovered included two knives, one lighter, five battle axes, one scissors, 22 machetes, assorted charms, and substances suspected to be Indian hemp.

“All the suspects are currently in Police custody, while investigations are ongoing to determine their individual culpability. Those found to have committed criminal offences will be prosecuted accordingly,” the statement said.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the operatives for their professionalism and dedication. He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to sustaining the operation across the state “to deny criminals any safe haven and ensure the safety and security of all residents.”

The CP also urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to assist the police in identifying criminal hideouts and enhancing public safety.
